JUST UPDATED!
Here are some of my family’s favorite Disney World restaurants! They all offer great food and a fun atmosphere and they are all unique in their own way! Check them out!!
- Hollywood and Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Boma Flavors of Africa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- 1900 Park Fare in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
- Whispering Canyon Cafe in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Hollywood and Vine
Check out Hollywood and Vine located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It’s a fun character buffet that changes themes to match the seasons! The food is good and VERY kid-friendly. Plus, the characters interact well with everyone…young and older alike!
NOTE: A theme park ticket is required to eat a Hollywood and Vine because it is located inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The characters (typically Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy) visit you at your table and….
You have the chance to get your picture taken with one character with a cute background! Santa Goofy was present during the recent Christmas Season
We have also had our picture taken with Donald during the summer season!
Boma-Flavors of Africa
Located inside Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boma-Flavors of Africa is a fun, African-themed restaurant that offers a unique variety of food for everyone, even your picky eaters!
The restaurant is beautifully decorated.
And even though the picture below is not of the best quality, it shows how they open the dinner hours with one family leading everyone in with dancing while the Cast Members play instruments!
We were lucky enough to be the chosen family when we had dinner there the last time and they even had a certificate for our family to commemorate the experience!
Boma also has a HUGE variety for those who want to try new and exotic options! There were several stew options since that is a very common meal in the African culture.
They also have milder options, such as a variety of bread and hummus!
Plus YUMMY desserts!
Most importantly…they have GREAT kid-friendly options too! This helps to allow the adults to try new things while the little ones keep with familiar favorites!
BONUS: No theme park ticket is required because Boma is located inside a resort hotel (Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge) and not a theme park!
1900 Park Fare
1900 Park Fare is located inside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The restaurant offers great food and different characters, depending on which meal you choose!
The breakfast buffet at 1900 Park Fare includes all of your favorite American Breakfast items!
As an added plus, there is a fantastic juice (jungle juice) they offer for breakfast. The last time we ate at 1900 Park Fare they had a slushy version of it for you to drink while you waited for your party to be seated!! That was one of my favorite treats on our last trip!
Additionally, some beloved characters join you for breakfast! 1900 Park Fare features Winnie the Pooh, the Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, and Mary Poppins!
The characters interact well with the little ones and are willing to pose for pictures too!
The food is both kid-friendly and adult-friendly. The choices consist of your typical American breakfast, with bread, meat, and sweet offerings!
Additionally, Princesses and Princes join you and your family at dinner time!
We have not had the opportunity to have dinner at 1900 Park Fare yet, but we do plan on having dinner with the Princesses and their Princes when the grandchildren are just a little older!
However, whenever you decide to go, don’t forget to let the little girls dress for the occasion!
BONUS: No theme park ticket is required because 1900 Park Fare is located in a Disney Resort hotel, the Grand Floridian
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Whispering Canyon Cafe is not your typical Disney restaurant. No characters. No Disney-theming. It is located inside Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort and has a unique atmosphere of its own!
Whispering Canyon Cafe has FABULOUS food! They have a menu you can choose from with individual entrees, as well as family-style meals.
We always choose the family-style option because of the variety and refillable options! And simply because it is one of our Disney World traditions!
BONUS: Again, no theme park ticket is required because Whispering Canyon Cafe is located in a Disney Resort hotel and not a theme park!
Besides great food, Whispering Canyon Cafe offers fun entertainment, such as “pony rides” and other amusing activities for the kiddos to get them up and moving!!
One of my children’s FAVORITE things about Whispering Canyon is UNLIMITED REFILLS on MILKSHAKES! Yes…that is correct….unlimited vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry milkshakes!
PRO TIP: When you go, make sure you ask your waiter or waitress for KETCHUP!!
