Your Ultimate Guide to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

With over thirty years of traveling experience behind me, I believe I’m very good about finding amazing places to visit while saving money in the process! I’ve been planning vacations and travel experiences since the age of fifteen and I absolutely love doing planning and then enjoying the adventure!

Our recent travels took us to the Treasured Coast! Specifically, we enjoyed a few days at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort! We took a few days away from our typical Disney Vacation and enjoyed some quiet time at the beach!

We are about to arrive…

I absolutely love Florida! One day we will have a condo there, but until then we get to visit!

The drive between Orlando and Vero Beach was an easy drive with great scenery!

Our arrival greeting

Check out the picture below! I love that this is the first thing we see as we pull into the resort!

We are greeted with a gator and a welcome home sign! Who could ask for more?!?!

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort Lobby

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is decorated very simply but beautifully done. The entryway is a large open area with the gift shop on the right, check-in on the left, and the beachfront straight ahead!

The Inn

I love that the turtle is pointing the way to the beach!!! This is the perfect symbol for the Treasured Coast!

Check it is easy! It’s your typical check-in procedure where you need to actually check in with the front desk.

We have gotten spoiled by the resorts on Disney World property where you just receive a text that your room is ready and your Magic Band automatically works. However, this worked just fine.

Additionally, the Vero Beach resort uses key cards to access your room rather than the Magic Band. You can use the Magic Band for purchases, just like on Disney World Resort property. However, you can only have one Magic Band attached to your account, rather than all your Magic Bands.

Save up to $500 when you book your flight +hotel!

I typically change out my Magic Bands to match my outfit or the park I am going to at Disney World because they all work interchangeably. However, this is not the case at the Vero Beach resort in Florida.

The main building, the Inn, is set up around this main open area with wings of rooms going out from this central location.

There are also cottages available on the property, as well as other types of rooms, that are not attached to the main building. The three bedrooms were located on the ground level near the pool. I think this would be amazing for large families or multi-generational groups staying on property!

I liked being in the Inn because it was close to everything. The pool is just to one side of the building, the beach is a short walk from the back of the entryway, and the restaurants and guest laundry area in the Inn as well!

Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Very Beach Resort

My husband and I stayed in a studio room at the Vero Beach Resort with an absolutely amazing view.

The room was simple but had everything we needed including a small kitchenette.

My husband and I both like the idea that the sink is located outside of the bathroom. This way one person can use the toilet or shower privately while the other can still have access to the sink!

The kitchenette was a good size for us. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and toaster, as well as paper plates and bowls and plastic utensils. There was enough cabinet space for our snacks and enough room to make breakfast or sandwiches for lunch.

Now….did I mention the view?!?!?!? Our balcony had an absolutely amazing view. This is definitely a view I would hope for when we return in the future!

I truly believe we had the best view of the entire property!!

Our views of the pool and beach were literally picture perfect!!

I love to read and our balcony was the most perfect spot to sit, prop up my feet, and read! Amazing view and amazing weather!

Looking at the picture of the building below, our room was the top left-hand side at the very top of the crux of the roof.

Don’t forget the amazing night views from our room!

The views from our balcony were just as amazing at night as they were during the day!

Activities at the Resort

This is a Disney resort, so there were tons of activities that you could participate in!

The Pool

There was the pool with its amazing three-story slide!

I absolutely loved the slide! It’s about three stories tall and goes at a great speed! They even have timed races once per day where the winners earn prizes!

The Activity Building

Besides the pool and beach area, there were several other activities available to guests! All of the activities were located in the building in the picture below.

Bathrooms were located in the center of the building. This was great because it meant bathrooms were close to the pool!

There was an exercise room and sauna available.

As well as a place that offered massages, for an additional cost of course.

In addition, there was a rental location where you could rent or borrow certain items. You could borrow towels, mini-golf items, and basketballs to play on the basketball court with. They also had items for rent, such as bicycles you could rent to ride around the property or around the local area!

Mini-Golf

My husband and I enjoyed the mini-golf area! Mini-golf is located right next to the pool.

Pin Trading

PIN TRADING!!!

I LOVE pin trading!!

There were two locations for pin trading when we were visiting. Their gift shop had a pin trading area and they even have pin trading in the quick-service restaurant by the pool!!

And…of course…the beach!

The beach was smaller than we expected, but it was still the beach!

You could walk along the Atlantic coast for quite a bit and you could rent chairs and umbrellas from the kiosk just before you got to the beach.

A place for drinks and a quick bite!

The Green Cabin Room was a lounge located inside the Inn.

They offer mostly adult beverages, but there are a few snacks that are available as well!

Personally, I love the map on the ceiling!

Near-By Views

There are several nature preserves and other wooded areas and parks that are just a short driving distance away from Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.

You are able to rent kayaks and canoes from a local vendor!

There are frequent spottings of manatees in the water, but we were not lucky enough to get to see any this trip!

There was a great view and there were good paths to walk on through this public park.

Next time we plan to get a canoe or kayaks and explore the water more!

We saw some of the animals you see below. I liked that this guide helped us distinguish between the two types of crabs. There were plenty of crabs to be seen on the beach and in the wooded areas. I never considered crabs being anywhere besides in the water or on the beach until this trip!

Near-By Restaurant to Enjoy

We enjoyed checking out some of the local restaurants while we were in the area!

Our favorite was Waldo’s! They had great food and a great atmosphere!

I absolutely loved this sign at Waldo’s

Here is one last Good Morning from Disney’s Vero Beach Resort!

Just a couple more gorgeous views from Disney’s Vero Beach Resort on our last morning there!

It is definitely a resort I would like to visit again! It was fun for my husband and me, but I think it would also be perfect for a multi-generational trip! With all of the activities on the property, the kitchens or kitchenettes in each room, and the beautiful weather, it can be an easy place to relax and just hang out for a few days!
